12-16 hours a day of light. at least 8 hours of darkness? for me? think about: in the winter it gets light around 6/7 a.m., so because of discretion, and because light definitely wanes hard around 2 p.m. , 2 p.m. – 16 = 10 p.m.
ok, maybe it’s more like light would otherwise in the outside not basement world would end around 5ish in the winter, so 5ish – 16 = 1 a.m. to 5ish.
1 a.m. lights turn on. 5ish lights turn off. wind blows gently. off of battery that is charged by solar.
